Two front-burner stories are about to converge in a big way on Young & Restless, as the Abbotts get involved in the Newman family crisis surrounding the ghastly Matt Clark. But will the coming twist end the feud between Jack and Victor… or make it infinitely worse?!

As most Young & Restless viewers know from the weekly preview video, Kyle Abbott is aware of the Newmans’ issues with evil-doer Matt Clark and will hatch a plan to manipulate the crisis to help his family, who are in dire straits thanks to Victor coming after them whilst possessing the devastatingly destructive AI program stolen from Cane Ashby.

Having shot themselves in the foot by shuttering Jabot to protect it, the Abbotts were left desperately scrambling to come up with a way to salvage their company from, not only bad press, but the ongoing threat presented by the Mustache and his menacing AI.

Short of caving to Phyllis’ demands to hand Marchetti over to Summer (which honestly doesn’t sound all that bad… especially if it means we get Summer back on the canvas), the Abbotts are all but out of options. Jack’s hopes that Nikki would take down her husband were dashed, and Diane’s yet to come up with anything transformative after approaching Michael for help.

If our hunch is correct, Kyle’s plan is not only risky and dangerous, given it involves Matt Clark, but it could make things a thousand times worse for his father in the long run. That said, it definitely has the potential to solve their current problems.

“But,” you’re thinking, “the Newmans have already captured Matt Clark.” It’s true, however Clark had managed to maneuver himself into a position to choke Nick out while he was driving… so there’s a predictable outcome to that scenario: Matt Clark will once again escape.

If the Abbotts can locate and apprehend him before Victor’s team, therein lies our twist: Matt Clark will become leverage. We’re picturing Jack and Kyle frog-marching Clark up to the door of the ranch and offering him to Victor… in exchange for the all-powerful AI program that’s threatening to ruin John Abbott’s legacy.

Victor, having to live up to his creedo of protecting his family before all else, will have little choice but to cut a deal. But in our eyes, that doesn’t mean the feud will end… even if the Black Knight claims he’ll back off.

In fact, Jack getting the upper hand on him is bound to infuriate him beyond all reason, meaning Jabot may be safe for the time being… but the Newman will be back at his nemesis’ throat with a vengeance the minute after Matt Clark is dealt with.

Will Victor kill Matt? Our prediction is that someone will… and it very well could be Sienna, who makes a foreshadow-y remark about how to get rid of her husband in the very next episode. Well, SOAPS readers, how do you think this Victor/Jack twist will play out? Hit the comments!
