Threat!!! Martin Henderson Teases Virgin River Season 7: Secrets, Surprises, and the Storylines Fans Can’t Stop Talking About
Since its debut in 2019, Netflix’s Virgin River has been a reliable comfort for millions of viewers worldwide. Its mix of romance, heartache, community bonds, and jaw-dropping twists
has turned the fictional mountain town into a second home for audiences. After Season 6’s December 2024 finale left fans with a storm of cliffhangers, the anticipation for Season 7
reached fever pitch. Now, the excitement is only intensifying thanks to series star Martin Henderson—better known as Jack Sheridan—who has officially confirmed that production on the new season is underway.
And if Henderson’s teases are anything to go by, fans are in for a season filled with secrets, surprises, and emotional storylines that will once again remind us why Virgin River remains one of Netflix’s crown jewels.

A Warm Welcome Back
On March 12, Henderson shared a heartfelt Instagram video straight from his trailer on set, his signature charm radiating through the screen.
“Hi guys, it’s a very auspicious moment. It is day one of Season 7 of Virgin River,” Henderson announced, grinning with the kind of warmth that has made Jack Sheridan such a beloved character.
He revealed a thoughtful welcome package from Netflix—an elegant black gift box filled with filming essentials: rechargeable hand warmers, lip balm, moisturizer, and a sleek carry-on pouch to keep everything organized. Clearly touched by the gesture, Henderson joked about the necessities of life on a chilly Vancouver set before pivoting to what mattered most: the fans.
“I want to make this the best season yet for you guys, because none of us would be here if it wasn’t for you people who love and support the show. I am so grateful, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you. I hope we’re going to make a ripper of a show for you this season. Stay tuned!”
In his caption, Henderson doubled down on his gratitude, writing that he was “stoked to be back.” With filming scheduled to continue through June 2025, it’s looking increasingly likely that Virgin River Season 7 will arrive on Netflix by late 2025—or early 2026 at the latest.
Picking Up From Season 6’s Cliffhangers
Unlike earlier seasons, which occasionally used time jumps, Season 7 will reportedly begin immediately after the Season 6 finale. That means fans won’t have to wait long to get answers to the shocking developments that left the community of Virgin River reeling.
The most urgent mystery surrounds Charmaine Roberts (Lauren Hammersley). After skipping Mel and Jack’s long-awaited wedding, her absence raised eyebrows—until Jack visited her home and stumbled upon a scene that stunned him. Fans suspect Charmaine’s troubles may finally be colliding with her past ties to gangster Calvin (Josh Blacker), who has haunted her storyline since the beginning. With Charmaine’s twins potentially at risk, Season 7 could bring long-buried secrets into the light.
Mel and Jack’s Married Life: A New Beginning or a New Trial?
At the heart of Virgin River is Mel Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack Sheridan’s love story—a saga defined by second chances and resilience. After tying the knot in Season 6, the couple is entering an entirely new chapter: married life on the farm.
But as always, Virgin River won’t let them settle into domestic bliss so easily. Their biggest challenge looms in the form of Marley’s (Rachel Drance) baby, whom the couple has been asked to adopt. It’s a life-altering decision that could strengthen their bond or test it in ways they never imagined.
For Martin Henderson, this development feels like a culmination of Jack’s growth. Once a battle-scarred Marine struggling with PTSD, Jack has evolved into a partner, protector, and potential father figure. Season 7 will explore how he balances his deeply protective instincts with the vulnerabilities of married life—and whether he can let go of his fears enough to fully embrace the future with Mel.
